Internet has made more millionaires even than oil did. It's one of the greatest inventions of our time and more and more people take advantage of it every day. It can be used for many different purposes, knowledge, education, business, relationships and many, many more. You can choose how to utilize it. Here are some cool examples of some teenagers, who used it for business and reached financial independence.
Ashley Qualls
This girl began her online career at the age of 14. She created a simple web site - whateverlife.com, where she published some stuff about teenagers (free MySpace layouts and web tutorials). This started as a hobby of hers, back in 2004, but soon the project started going big. The site started getting more and more popular. At some point of time, she couldn't maintain it by herself and had to employ some friends from school to help her. Her hobby turned into a money printing machine. A Page For Million Dollars
This is a story about a young student - Alex Tew. Thinking about how to pay his college education expenses, he decided to try to make some money online. He came to a great and innovative idea - to make a web page of 1 000 000 pixels and to sell each one for $1 , as advertising space. People and companies could buy rectangles from at least 100 pixels to place a banner on his page. Eventually, he managed to sell all the pixels on the site, leading him to making a million dollars on-line. This is the story of another young girl, who achieved big success on-line. She made a multi-million web business by creating the site MyYearbook.com, today known as MeetMe.com. He had an idea of making a web place, where students could make on-line yearbooks. She persuaded her older brother, who already was an Internet entrepreneur, to invest in her project and he agreed.
